Amazon just 3x’ed your Bitbucket Pipelines minutes (see what Sentry and Snyk did too)

Big shout-out to our partners AWS, Sentry & Snyk who are sponsoring this promotion. Qualify for this promotion by signing up or upgrading your Bitbucket plan between March 30th, 2020 and June 30th, 2020.

We know that as a developer, you don’t want to be locked into tools and want the flexibility to work with whatever tool best solves your problem. That's why we invest in high value use cases and integrations that span the Atlassian family (Jira, Confluence, OpsGenie, and Trello). It is also why we believe in an open approach when it comes to partnering with other industry-leading tools to help you ship even faster, with greater confidence.

We are making it a little easier to ship error-free code to customers faster by adding some special offers from our partners as part of your plan.

From March 30th, 2020 through June 30, 2020, when you upgrade to either our Standard or Premium plans, your plan comes with a few extras:

  • AWS 3 x’ed our top tier Bitbucket plan (Premium) with up to 10,000 Bitbucket Pipelines minutes each month
  • You can prevent chaos when trying to find a bug in your code with a $50 to $100 credit toward error monitoring with Sentry
  • You can catch security vulnerabilities before they happen by running unlimited security tests with Snyk on public and private Git repos and container images

Bitbucket’s mission is to provide every team an easy way to adopt CI/CD practices and ship value to customers faster. Bitbucket Pipelines is an integrated CI/CD service, built right into Bitbucket Cloud. It allows you to automatically build, test and deploy your code, based on a configuration file in your repository. If you haven't used Pipelines before, here is an intro.

AWS is sponsoring bonus Pipelines build minutes through June 30, 2020. When you sign up for a new account or upgrade to a paid plan during the promotion period, you get bonus minutes. Here's how the bonus minutes stack up against our original plan limits:

$50 to $100 credit towards error monitoring with Sentry

We are partnering with Sentry to make it easier to find and fix errors in real time with a $50 credit for those who upgrade to Bitbucket’s Standard Plan and $100 for those who upgrade to Bitbucket’s Premium plan over March 30 – June 30, 2020. Your coupon code will be sent to you via email 3-5 days after your first billing date on your new plan. You need to be a new Sentry user to qualify.

Having a bug in production can stop your team in its tracks to go fix it. This costs time, money, and panic to fix the customer experience. Sentry makes finding these errors in the code a lot quicker, so you avoid feeling like your hair is on fire with the chaos of fixing a bug in production.

By using the Sentry pipe for Bitbucket Pipelines, you can make sure your code is error free before testing on your customers by notifying Sentry of a build to surface errors associated with that build.

If you happen to find a bug in production, figuring out what line of code caused that bug is a critical time where you need to move fast. Instead of sweating to find what to fix, you can use the Bitbucket/Sentry integration to send you the stack trace that connects the problem directly to the error-causing commit. You can then fix it right then and there.

We are partnering with Sentry to make it easier to use this integration with a $50 credit for those who upgrade to Bitbucket’s Standard Plan and $100 credit for those who upgrade to Bitbucket’s Premium plan over March 30 – June 30, 2020. (All partner promotions end June 30, 2020).

Free, unlimited security tests from Snyk

Snyk is expanding its free plan from 200 security tests for open source vulnerabilities to unlimited security tests on public and private Git repos and container images for paid Bitbucket users. Your custom Snyk sign up link will be sent to you via email 3-5 days after your first billing date on your new plan. You need to be a new Snyk user to qualify.

No one wants to be alerted of a security flaw after the fact, have a security violation, and stop everything to go fix it. You want to be thinking about security at every phase of your workflow with DevSecOps to prevent this. With the Snyk pipe for Bitbucket Pipelines, you can quickly add Snyk scanning to your pipelines to test and monitor for vulnerabilities at different points of the CI/CD workflow, based on your configurations. Results are then displayed from the Bitbucket Pipelines output view and can also be monitored from Snyk.io. This results in:

More thorough security scans: Check your code and images to find and fix vulnerabilities using Snyk’s proprietary database, which logs significantly more vulnerabilities than public databases.

Dev-friendly integration: Snyk integrates with your existing workflows, as early as your IDE. When vulnerabilities are found, Snyk sends you an alert via email, Slack, or you can open a Jira issue against the vulnerability.

Continuous monitoring: Even after deploying your code, Snyk continuously monitors for new vulnerabilities so you don't have to worry about it.

We want our users to be able to adopt DevSecOps easier, and are partnering with Snyk to increase security tests from 200 to unlimited for Bitbucket users who upgrade their plan from March 30 to June 30, 2020. (All partner promotions end June 30, 2020).

We hope these promotions with our partners help your team have cleaner code and less hair on fire moments. All promotions end June 30, 2020. Compare plans & upgrade today.
