A Google App Engine/Django/App Engine Patch webapp that serves both as an example of Gaegene uses and a set of functional tests.
$ hg clone http://bitbucket.org/gumptioncom/gaegene-example/
Introduction
Gaegene-example is an App Engine webapp that serves both as an example of Gaegene uses and a set of functional tests. It utilizes the Django web framework and the App Engine Patch project.
How To
The gaegene-example project doesn't have the gaegene library bundled by default. You'll need to either download the Gaegene package and place it in the project directory or, if you've installed hg-externals, you can simply run hg externals EXTERNALS and it will clone the Gaegene package for you.
Issue the command ./manage.py test in the project directory to run the tests.

What Does The Name Mean?
Gaegene could stand for "Google App Engine General Efficacy Nonesuch Extender," but usually we just call it "The Gene."
It is named in the same good humor as Gaebar or "Google App Engine Backup And Restore".
