Nahimic Warning - Checkbox to disable warning

Issue #7610 open
klepp0906 created an issue

So once upon a time i downloaded playnite to see what all the hooplah was about. I noticed upon opening it the first time I received a warning about nahimic and an option to disable the warning.

Fast forward to my recent return to LB. I havent retro gamed in awhile so a few iterations have passed and at some point, you guys added a similar warning. The caveat is with your warning, there is no way to disable it or check “please check here to acknowledge having read this” type thing.

So each and every time i open bigbox I get this.. big.. box.

Needless to say im familiar with nahimic and its proclivities. Somehow, for reasons above my paygrade its screwed with softwares for years. I recall doing a bunch of bug reporting and working with qt developers because of some issues I was having with qt based software. This was well over 5 years ago. Turns out nahimic was the cause. Well not nahimic specifically but Sonic Radar and/or Sonic Studio which Asus bundles with the drivers (if you get them from asus).

I ceased using those, which may explain why I no longer have any issues or issues here. The service itself comes bundled with the non asus drivers but if you dont install the aforementioned, you dont have issues. Or i dont at least. I dont want to disable the service because it breaks a bunch of functions in my audio control panel/eq etc, but at the same time I dont want a big box displaying every time I run bigbox for obvious reasons.

So thats my long winded way of asking for the means to disable the nahimic warning. even a checkbox in the options to suppress it would be fine, and serve as a reminder to people about its potential to interfere.
