PDF export cannot be used in Xcode

Xcode now allows assets like icons and sprites to be imported as vectors in PDF format. However, such assets are normally provided in SVG format.

I downloaded Gapplin to convert some very simple SVGs to PDF for Xcode. However, the resulting PDFs did not open properly. I found a web-based converter and that worked fine.

The files are PD, so I have attached an example and the working output from the online converter. If we can get this to work in Gapplin I think it would make it a must-have tool for Xcode developers.
