Cannot Select Text Editor

I have just started using Gapplin, so I don’t know how it worked in the past.

I only have limited choices for the text editor in the popup, and though this includes Caret, a product I installed, it doesn’t include other text editors such as Atom.

If I select TextEditor it always reverts to the previous choice. I think that is because the file is svg and not txt. However, Atom is my default SVG text editor.

I think either the menu is incomplete or there should be an option to select an application.
