TW> That's an important point, indeed. I suggest we add a subsection in TW> Section 3 (called "Retransmissions") which states: TW> - the link layer provides a max number of retries TW> - that affect the use of the scheduled slot. TW> @Editor, could you propose new text to that effect?

    this section already exists. Section 3.3. It states the following:

            The maximum number of link layer retransmissions is set to 3. For packets which require an acknowledgement, if none are received after a total of 4 attempts, the transmission is considered failed and the link layer MUST notify the upper layer. Packets sent to the broadcast MAC address (including EBs) are not acknowledged and therefore not retransmitted.
