      • 6lo right after 6TiSCH (different room):
        • fragment forwarding draft discussion.
        • [Pascal] Encourage people to participate in 6lo
      • 10/21 (Monday): cut-off draft submission

    • draft-vilajosana-6tisch-minimal [Xavi]
    • draft-palattella-6tisch-terminology [Maria Rita]
    • draft-ohba-6tisch-security [Yoshihiro]
      • Admin:
      • Status:
        • will submit 6tisch security draft before cut-off date
      • Discussion:
        • change draft so it can support common network key.
        • Both types of keys will be supported.
        • This changes will not reflect in -00 version. -01 revision will include that.
    • draft-watteyne-6tisch-tsch [Thomas]
    • draft-thubert-6tisch-architecture [Pascal]
    • draft-wang-6tisch-6top [Qin]
      • Admin:
      • Status:
        • addressed most comments.
        • Publish by Monday.
      • Discussion:
        • [Qin] Some comments will probably be left for the next revision.
        • [Qin] Jonathan Simon, recalls that the soft and hard cells are part of 6top and not 154e, so he suggests to define them within the scope of 6top and not to use the linkOption field of 154e,
        • [Thomas] Remarks do not indicate that idea of hard and soft cells is wrong. He does points out that the interface defined in IEEE802.15.4e is conceptual. It does not contain the representation in bits and bytes. Talking about a "bitmap" in that context is inaccurate.
        • [Thomas] We want to say that 6top maintains this option on every cell and this does not interfere with 154e, they are not in the same layer.
        • [Thomas] Description of different commands should be more detailed with respect to the interaction with 154e commands. Should detail specifically how 6top talks to 154e interface. This will clear any possible ambiguity. This is a lot of work.
        • [Pascal] Discuss that at the meeting. write down pending questions and present them to the IETF meeting. List the problems and discuss in Vancouver.
        • [Thomas] You can use the issue tracker of bitbucket.
        • [Xavi] what tool should we use for issue tracker? bitbucket or the IETF tools?
        • [Thomas] While drafts are not adopted as WG drafts we use bitbucket; when they are adopted, use Trac system on IETF.
    • draft-sudhaakar-6tisch-coap [Raghuram]
      • Admin:
      • Status:
        • more content on Monday. Will be published by Monday.
        • quite a bit of content has been added in the last couple of days
      • Discussion:
        • [Pascal] are you asking review document? or publish it without review?
        • [Raghuram] requests review from others.

Action item: Raghuram to send a request to the ML to review once release candidate for document.

        • [Pascal] needed an informational model document.
        • [Thomas] This is an important discussion we need at Vancouver: where does the formal description of 6top commands reside. We may want to move the formal description (YANG?) to be in 6top.
        • [Raghuram] put generic data model in some other document so it becomes "The" model. CoAP is an specific implementation of the model.
  • [08.41] Agenda Vancouver meeting
    • Call for slots went out on ML.
    • 9 drafts have been discussed.
    • [Xavi] with the short time we have we need to focus on the topics that need further discussion. Architecture, minimal (not sure as it is almost done), 6top and Data Model.
    • [Pascal] focus on charter items. Not all draft are part of the charter items, so focus on the central ones.
    • [Thomas] summarizing charter items + let time on uncharted elements. Who can present and what?
    • [Pascal] We can prepare template slides.
    • Need to clarify who is attending and how do we assign slots.

Action item: Pascal and Thomas to coordinate with authors.

  • [08.50] draft-dujovne-6tisch-on-the-fly [Diego]
    • Diego Presents the index
    • authors: Diego, Alfredo, Maria Rita and Nicola.
    • Interaction of OTF with 6top described in the draft
    • Usage of statistics and metrics from 6top to trigger reservations.
    • Open questions:
      • Where is schedule table stored?
      • It is possible to change scheduling from OTF to centralized?
      • Create profiles to acces 6top statistics?
      • OTF has an algorithm. Is that a module itself?
      • Soft-cell reservation and deletion: reallocation. When delete what happens with soft cells that has been relocated.
    • [Qin] OTF manages hard cell or soft cells? OTF: what is the output of the algorithm? An specific cells or an amount of BW?
    • [Diego] output is BW. so that's why we go for soft cells.
    • [Thomas] have some text to read and argue about. Can it be published soon? the submission is closing Monday.
    • [Diego] Focus on connections of 6top as input and output. Not sure if he can reach Monday.
    • [Pascal] As this is not part of the charter better to take time to make it a strong proposal. Keep discussing it during calls and at Vancouver and produce something more detailed.
  • [09:05] AOB
    • [Thomas] New draft on security, no authors in the call. Let's take a quick look at the draft and ask authors to give an overview.
  • [09.06] Meeting ends
