Notification on date custom fields

We should be able to configure the date custom fields to put some notifications on screen somewhere when they are approaching the date.

That way we can use the date field for expiring licences, medicals, insurance etc.

Need to figure out how best to display it etc. Perhaps a Notifications button at the top that shows pending notifications etc? Could show notifications when bookings are confirmed and other things....
