Main window crash

I pulled the latest version so I would get a clean compile. This time, the issue with the WS variable was gone and compile was clean. (whew!) But, in the main editing window, I had a crash after typing a few characters...
SEDT variable and PATH variable are set correctly. I;m using Ubuntu 64 version 17.10 with GCC 6.3.0
