Running the game

In order to run PyMissle, you have to follow the following steps

Install Python

In order to build the game, you need Python 2.7

Either download Python from its website, or use your package manager to get it.

PyMissle works fine with Python 2.7 (maybe it will run on Python 3).

Install Pygame

Visit pygame.org or use your package manager to get it.

Install pymunk

You also need pymunk, which is used for some of the visual effects.

Get the source!

Get the PyMissle source by cloning the PyMissle repository

$ hg clone https://BigYellowCactus@bitbucket.org/BigYellowCactus/pymissile

Run the game

You'll find a file named pymissile.py. Running this file starts PyMissile.

Tip: Filter by directory path e.g. /media app.js to search for public/media/app.js.
Tip: Use camelCasing e.g. ProjME to search for ProjectModifiedEvent.java.
Tip: Filter by extension type e.g. /repo .js to search for all .js files in the /repo directory.
Tip: Separate your search with spaces e.g. /ssh pom.xml to search for src/ssh/pom.xml.
Tip: Use ↑ and ↓ arrow keys to navigate and return to view the file.
Tip: You can also navigate files with Ctrl+j (next) and Ctrl+k (previous) and view the file with Ctrl+o.
Tip: You can also navigate files with Alt+j (next) and Alt+k (previous) and view the file with Alt+o.
