Joystick customization way too sensitive. ECWolf Ver. 1.3.3

Issue #228 new
Anonymous created an issue

Having issues with button assignments automatically being filled in with random axis or sometimes digital button signatures (joy 0). Not having this problem with previous version, controller is calibrate. Adjusting axis deadzones does nothing to alleviate this. Using Wired XBox 360 controller for PC.

Thanks, Alex

First of all thanks for the port. I enjoy it immensely, but I Have also noticed an issue on ECWolf 1.3.3 as well in regards to using a controller. I use a SteelSeries StratusXL connected to a Windows 7 Pro (64) PC via a Targus Bluetooth 4.0 Adapter, and use the steelseries engine 3 to make it XInput. when I play a lot of the time when I stop and take my hands of the thumbsticks I very slowly continuously rotate either left or right. The only way to stop this is to change the deadzone in steeseries engine 3 from 0% to 1%, but this makes movement clunky and jerky and ruins the flow of gameplay on every game I use the controller on. This drift is only present in ECWolf. I have tried dozens of other games and can't reproduce the issue anywhere, but on ECWolf it happens evert few mins. Are there any plans on an update to fix the controller issues?

Thank you. The controller issue doesn't completely break the port. I just need to move a bit and the slow turning movement locks still. I haven't died yet as a result of it and still rack up hours on ECWolf reliving the glory days of when I used to play Wolf3D back in 1992. I still appreciate you looking into it., I appreciate it immensely! :D
