This can happen given how the gpu process textures, that is why it is recommended to have at least 1px between tiles :)
But you can try to fix this by stepping/moving the camera in pixel amounts, that depends on your pixels per meter setting
I'm having a similar issue that is very evident with animated tiles. Will the 1px margin solve this issue or will the seams still be visible?
Yes it should fix it, but I'll take a closer look at animated tiles as well.
Something important that I forgot to mention is that the camera's orthographic size must also be "pixel-perfect" [https://indiehoodgames.wordpress.com/2013/07/27/pixel-perfect-calculator-for-orthographic-camera-unity3d/]
Great, thank you for that.
Quick question about the spacing and margin settings. Using this image as a guide:
I've updated my tileset with 1px margin and 2px spacing between tiles:
And I'm getting artifacts only on vertical spacing:
Did I misinterpret the use of margin and spacing?
Hm, do you mind sending me one test map and the tileset so I can test it here?
If you take a look at the examples you'll see there are both tilesets with margins and spacing and without them and it should work fine...
Thank you for looking. here are the two files:
Thanks to your setup I could find the error, where I was using the Margin setting where Spacing should be used for calculations :P
