# auprefs.info # The "above the line" voting system used in Australian Senate elections means it's possible for a political party to choose preferences for you, and you might not know, or like, their decisions. auprefs.info is a project to visualise preference flows in Australian elections. It uses a [force-directed graph](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Force-directed_graph_drawing) created by the [d3.js](http://d3js.org) Javascript library to show how closely connected the various political parties are. The results can be seen at the [auprefs.info](http://auprefs.info) web site. ## Contribution guidelines ## Contributions are welcome. The project uses Javascript, d3.js, and has unit tests using [karma](http://karma-runner.github.io/) and [jasmine](http://jasmine.github.io/).
