The "above the line" voting system used in Australian Senate elections means it's possible for a political party to choose preferences for you, and you might not know, or like, their decisions.

auprefs.info is a project to visualise preference flows in Australian elections.

It uses a force-directed graph created by the d3.js Javascript library to show how closely connected the various political parties are.

The results can be seen at the auprefs.info web site.

The project uses Javascript, d3.js, and has unit tests using karma and jasmine.
