ASIS / Installing ASIS

Mod Organizer is vastly superior to any other mod manager. I will only give detailed support on using Mod Organizer as it is what I use. Others should be generally similar.

Ensure All Requirements Are Met First

ASIS requires Java 7 or greater for its patcher to run. The in game configuration is handled by an MCM menu. To use the the MCM menu you must have SkyUI and to use SkyUI you must have SKSE. If you do not have SkyUI and SKSE ASIS will still function but cannot be configured in game.

As with any mod setup for best functioning you should have a Bashed Patch and/or TesVEdit Merged patch. If you do not know why try reading my article about them.

Using Mod Organizer

  • Download ASIS through MO and install it.
  • Activate it by checking its box in the left panel.
  • Activate ASS-Dependency.esp in the right panel.
  • Sort your load order using the latest version of BOSS or LOOT. ASIS-Dependency.esp must come before ASIS.esp, and ASIS.esp must come after your Bashed or TesVEdit Merged patches.
  • In the right hand panel press the 'Data' tab, scroll down and find ASIS.jar located in the /SkyProc Patchers/ASIS/ folder. Right click ASIS.jar and choose add as executable.

  • Choose ASIS from the executables menu and choose run to run the patcher.

  • See ASIS Basics for details on the patcher and Customizing ASIS on how to use the Ini files. ASIS comes with general settings but must be customized if you have other mods. EggOver1979 has made carefully modified INI files that are a wonderful starting place.
  • Make sure ASIS.esp is enabled in the right hand panel and correctly ordered. If it was ordered incorrectly move it to the correct position and rerun the patcher to ensure it reads all your mods correctly.
  • Play Skyrim.

Uninstalling ASIS

ASIS uses scripts. Skyrim does not support removing mods with scripts from a save in progress. Proceed at your own risk.

  • Disable ASIS-Dependency.esp and ASIS.esp in the right hand panel.
  • Disable the asis mod in the left hand panel.
  • Right click the asis mod in the left hand panel and choose remove mod
