Disable Drivers for non used morphs
Hi there!
I used to import many morphs in case I need them later after geografts merging, but the impact is pretty heavy.
It would be great to have a feature to disable drivers of zero morphs and non keyframed morphs, I wonder if this would boost the viewport preview in general and especially when animating.
Thanks ^_^

repo owner There is a button to Disable Drivers globally at the top of the Morphs panel, see https://diffeomorphic.blogspot.com/p/morph-panel-version-16.html. That can improve viewport performance a lot if you have many morphs. Of course you have to reenable drivers before rendering.

reporter Ah yea Thomas I use it very often! What I was asking for is a button to just disable non-used drivers, if this is a feature that can make sense!
Thanks! -
repo owner That would be tricky, I think. The new morph system sets up a quite complex web of intermediate driven properties, and it is not straightforward to determine which ones can be safely disabled.

reporter Got it! Thanks for the answer, Thomas!
Midnight Arrow as a GN lover, I can’t wait to have a test to that workflow! -
repo owner I wrote about that yesterday.

There’s an (experimental) geometry nodes workflow that doesn’t require you to merge geografts,
#869. You can import and delete shape keys anytime since the grafts are attached non-destructively. IDK if anybody’s got it working for heirarchal geografts yet but it works fine as long as you don’t go crazy with posing. If you do then can turn up the merge distance to try and fix the seams.
