Morphs stop working when clearing animation data

Issue #1017 resolved
WÓLFÉ Gasbjerg created an issue

Spend some time animating and I have encountered this problem 10-20 times now, and I finally discovered what causes it.

My workflow consists of creating a pose, then animation, then clearing it. I have tried to update Morph Pats. I have basically tried every option under “Advanced Setup” → “Morphs” and none of them solve the problem.

When animation data is cleared Every Morphs stops working except a few Morphs from FACS Units and custom morphs

Rig type: MHX with added extra face bones. The Base Mesh has a few alterations (This is just merging Geografts)

Maybe I’m just stupid and Blender is intended to clear the driver/unlink them when clearing animation data.

This is just a small nussiance and an easy ctrl-z problem fix. Just wanted to let you know

I can’t reproduce the issue here, tried both the “clear animation“ tool in mhx, and the blender menu “object > animation > clear keyframes”. All the morphs seem to work fine. Of course if you somewhat delete the drivers then the morphs will not work anymore.

Please upload a scene as simple as possible showing the issue, and/or describe the exact steps. Otherwise I’ll mark as invalid if the issue can’t be reproduced.

    I see
What I did, was I deleted the animation data that was stored under the armature. If the problem doesn’t occur with your system, it might be something wrong with the base mesh. Currently, it only happened to this one character I have been working with. So I might have added or deleted some vertices on the mesh. Either way, thanks and if I reencounter this with another model I will let you know.
