particles hair doesn't work

I see in #8 that it is supposed to be fixed but I can’t get it to work in blender 2.82a with commit 063715d. It does work fine in blender 2.79b with the stable 1.4 plugin where I got some hair from the Toulouse skull by following the docs.

I can also load the 2.79b file with 2.82a so this can be a workaround if 2.8 can’t be fixed.

I’m not an expert on particles but commit 2f58694 seems to work fine to me. Below what I got with the toulouse hair in blender 2.82a. Marking as resolved thank you Thomas for the fast fix.
