Remove Object Transforms When Saving Pose Preset

Issue #1217 duplicate
Midnight Arrow created an issue

I’m working on some pose presets. I’d rather export them directly from Blender because Daz Studio adds a ton of junk to pose files and their UI for deselecting unwanted properties is crap. Would it be possible to add another option to the pose export box allowing us to skip saving the object transforms (the skeleton’s location in world space) and only save the pose itself?

I can confirm it works in Daz Studio.

However it looks like when importing the saved pose back into Blender it moves the figure to the center? I do realize there’s an option to disable affecting the object’s transforms on import, but it seems like a bug to move the figure if there’s no transform saved in the file. Not a huge problem, just a minor nitpick.

Also I have some UI issues. “Use Object” isn’t very intuitive, so I suggest renaming “use” to “save”. Also I noticed disabling “Use Bone” removes “Use Object”. It occurred to me there may be situations where we want to save object transforms but not bone transforms. We may want to position figures in a scene but not change their pose.

I suggest the Save Pose Preset export options be reworked into a flat list of what we want to save, such as

    • Save Object Transform
    • Save Body Bone Transforms
    • Save Face Bone Transforms
    • Save Morphs
    • Save Action
