Is there any way to get the eyes to show good in solid mode with the activate diffuse image texture node function that you added…

Is there any way to get the eyes to show good in solid mode with the activate diffuse image texture node function that you added… i've been playing with materials and I can't really figure it yet… I've deleted And adjusted every eye material but I never seem to be able to see the pupils in solid mode or the Iris(👧)… The eyes do use a diffuse image texture though… Not sure If there is an eye add on for daz that doesn’t Though because if there is or there are a bunch then this wouldn't really be a one shot idea and would look bad in other situations…Merry Christmas!

    The daz eyes are usually complex with multiple geometry layers. The textured mode is intended to show the diffuse texture, so it depends how the material is done. You can’t expect the textured mode to always work, it’s intended for a basic preview.

    If you want a good preview the way to go is material preview, not solid mode.

    also I just realized that the activate diffuse that you added was in Diffiemorphic 1.7, I just tested it on a vicki 8.1 you know pretty much the exact same one that's on the thumbnail when you buy it ....and I noticed when I brought her in and clicked the activate diffuse....This is the best that would happen ......I was wondering if you knew why her torso material and her face materials don't match

    Again this is not a chat, it’s a bug tracker. If you notice a issue please provide a detailed description and possibly a test scene as simple as possible. Then use separate discussions for separate issues. I tested Victoria 8.1 with the latest commit and don’t notice any difference between the face and torso materials. May be you used a makeup in this case multiple layers are used and the texture mode may get confused.

    I should have said I added her default tattoos I added full body tattoos but I removed them and then I just added the right arm and the left arm So maybe in the act of removing the torso tattoos I did it wrong and left the Geo shell

    Yes anything that uses layers is not good for the texture mode, in that you can only display one texture per material.

    yeah that'd be awesome if you could get the GEOSHELLL texture later to match the rest of the skin tone like it does in daz though because my character renders out OK… its just solid mode it looks weird but in DAZ texture shaded mode it looks fine So theoretically it seems like it's possible to have this happen

    I don't know if you heard of the SSGI build of blender or e cycles… but if push comes to shove and it just isn't possible You could just say screw it and start taking that direction.. you guys could be at the helm of a diffeomorphic build of blender if need be…. hire some blender programmer Jock or python/c++ master…..for peanuts…then you can have an XYZ scale for every property in there in there you could have nudges for every slider…. and whatever change it takes to port the above possibility just those three things and then move up from there to make it really simple… then you could hard code the diffeomorphic panel… into its own tab right below scene properties… and then one by one start adding all the other features you've been wanting to but couldn’t….. blender guru the main blender tutor teaches to use pre made assets in his tutorials because you're in a business environment… maybe you could even get him involved if you decide to go that direction or talk to him about it… maybe he could be a spokesperson or a sponsor and feel comfortable because you do notice some weird stuff on the daz store but pound for pound The best artists in the world are in the DAZ store

    or you could just lean one step in that direction because for activate diffuse my buttons in just a slightly better place so just take the idea fully You could have it …break past any barriers and place something on the interface outside the n panel… add a universal XYZ slider/nudge preference in global settings… show blender users how we do it in DAZ…daz is genius you guys are geniuses Imagine if you applied the genius of Diffiiemorphic to making blender perfecter

    awesome… I I just noticed for the first time that you made activate difuse automatic I'm testing out 1.7 and brought in my house to make a tutorial from my addon and it imported perfect That is so beautiful… gotta downgrade to 1.6.2 to make my tutorial….

    Edit: I am now listed as a Top Blender Add-on in HDRI Maker 3.0 preferences… but of course the top blender addon OVER ALL IS Diffeomorphic!…but I'm catching up 🙂…I'm releasing a 1 click keying of green screen video…this week… so stay tooned!…😀
