Importing Genesis 8.1 Face controls to blender

Issue #1393 invalid
PuniMochi created an issue

I’d like to use the Genesis 8.1 Face controls which I think comes with the gen 8.1 figure, but if I add them through “import custom morph” the parameters doesn’t change parts of the face.

This is the 8.1 face controls parameters.

But I do get this warning after I import my figure from daz to blender.

So I went ahead and tried converting to general weight. But I got this.

I went ahead and clicked yes anyway and I got an error.

I’m not sure this the warning is the reason the morphs are not working or if it’s something else. I’m still very new to this.

Thanks so much!

Another question outside of this issue, is it possible to go from DAZ > diffeomorphic to blender MHX rigging > back to DAZ?

With IK and FK layers in MHX I can’t seem to get correct animation down if I import it back to DAZ.

I followed Conver Widgets section and first imported FACS morphs, then converted 8.1 Face Controls mesh to widgets. But there’s nothing shown on the morphs tab. I’m assuming I have to export FACS rig from daz, but given the attempt, I’m not sure how to export them from daz.

As for my other question I came across your post https://bitbucket.org/Diffeomorphic/import_daz/issues/545/save-pose-preset-doesnt-work and came to a conclusion that using MHX RTS plugin or rigify won’t keep the feet completely in place. And the solutions to that is to either use simple IK rig OR to use Blender Animation Retargeting add-on as said by engetudouiti.

So I’m trying to do the retargetting method but I’m already stuck on how to use the retarget add-on lol (https://github.com/Mwni/blender-animation-retargeting). So you’re suppose to click on target armature and select a source armature but I don’t know what to select as the source armature. Do I import the same model again and use that as the source armature? If I could get some clarification on that, too… Thank you…
