Particle hair not quite the same as daz hair

The product I’m using here is MEGA Updo Hair for Genesis 3 and 8 Female(s).
The hair comes with 3 different meshes, the base, the bangs and the bun.
So I had to make hair 3 times with the same scalp.
Messed with the particle children and radii of them and this is the result.
Also using the Color Hair option doesn’t change the color.
Compared to the daz render, the hair strands are way thicker and it just doesn’t have the natural look.

Yes converting daz hairs has limits if this is what you mean. In general you will not get 100% same as daz by default, you can get close with some tweaking as you did. Also OOT uses a custom shader that’s not supported.
