Is anyone interested in Diffeo having a real-time dynamic genital rig that opens/closes/deforms without having to keyframe anything?
Hi guys, I wasn’t going to post this, but I might as well, as a proposal for Diffeomorphic. After seeing the hair rigs that can
be generated and the body physics (being worked on) I got to thinking, and, with the help of StevenY and Dom3D’s work, I have
improved upon a genital rig that will work with ANY genital (not even just DAZ ones) and works with only a few modifiers, 2 drivers
and some weight painting. You only need to intially be able to open the genital/hole with either a shapekey, morph, or even bones.
Thats it. Once setup, you don’t have to keyframe, everything deforms (pretty much no matter the size of object inserted), and it’s
very light on performace too. Anyway I was just throwing this idea out there for you guys if you’re ever interested in maybe having a
script that auto-generates this rig (don’t know if it’s possible) which could be optional. Would love to hear your thoughts. Once
setup its pretty amazing. Take a look:

repo owner This plugin has already grown too big, and my goal now is to polish it and finish the docs for version 1.7. Your movie shows an interesting rig, but since it is not specific for daz figures I think it would be better to put it in a separate add-on of its own.

Hello Jasper, this looks amazing; it would be nice if you could make a little tutorial and share the link here on how to make and implement such a rig.

reporter ^Thanks Thomas, just wondered if it was something you’d be interested in implementing with my little way of contributing :) Unfortunately I do not have the skills right now to make an addon--I would have it automated through a script or something. When I learn to code (someday lol) I might.
^I appreciate it Rob; I can make a tutorial at some point, just need to find time and know if I’m allowed to post a link here (would be a MEGA file most likely).

Personally I agree with Thomas that this is not specific to daz so makes more sense as a generic tutorial.
You can post links here of course, but in my opinion it would be more visible and useful in the daz forum. Though you have to pay attention to don’t depict genitals. As a generic tutorial you don’t need to use genitals you can use a simple “mesh hole” and it will work the same.

Is that some kind of cloth sim? I think I saw something similar on a Discord last year, just using basic props, not a character mesh. I saved the Blend file but never got around to looking at it (real work took over). I would be interested in a tutorial.

Would like some insight on that as well. I’ll be keeping my eyes peeled on the Daz Forum.

(PS: This example was a rushed job just to showcase, with better weight painting, the deformations are a lot better/more realistic)
