Custom Shapekeys cause Geograft Seams
When I create custom shapekeys for a character BEFORE merging geografts, the geograft merging seems to be bugged.
It’s their sole existence causing this issue, I don’t have them active. As soon as I delete those shapekeys it works again. Imported shapekeys with daz importer don’t cause this issue, only ones I created in sculpt mode.
It’s very simple to replicate:
- In my case I used Futalicious for G8.1F
- I loaded in the character
- I created a custom shapekey in sculpt mode (not base, a seperate new shapekey)
- I merged the geograft with the body mesh while the shapekey is at 0 value
- The bug occurs

reporter This seems to happen when the shapekey which affects vertices in the merged region didn’t get transfered over to the geograft before merging the meshes. It doesn’t matter if the shapekey is active or inactive.
I’m not sure if that’s a Blender issue or a Daz Importer issue. -
repo owner The problem only seems to occur when the shapekey is active. To fix it, Merge Geografts now makes the Basic key active (sets active shapekey index = 0) for all meshes. That works here.

reporter @Thomas Larsson This solved the potential issue, thank you.

Merge Geografts now makes the Basic key active (sets active shapekey index = 0) for all meshes -> solves the merge issue
