Issue with foreskin presets from Dicktator for Genesis 9

Issue #1420 resolved
Cornelius created an issue

After importing the morphs for Dicktator for Genesis 9, the morphs starting with “DK_Foreskin Preset” don’t work correctly. When using those morphs the foreskin goes back instead of forward and also changes other areas of the genitalia, like near the back of the scrotum, which shouldn’t happen. Issue happens before and after merging geografts.
Using 1.6.2 of diffeomorphic and 3.4.1 of blender. In global settings Bones Inherit Scale is turned off and ERC Morphs is turned on.

Thanks for the tip. I did update the importer to 1.7, but unfortunately it did not solve this problem. For more information, the presets I’m trying to use, adjusts certain dials and changes bone positions in DAZ. That may be where Diffeomorphic is struggling.

Be sure to import all the custom morphs, not just some. There may be morphs driving other morphs. Or use the database.

I’m pretty certain I imported all morphs. I noticed the morphs that I’m having trouble with don’t move the bones like happens in DAZ. I clicked on morph armature after setting the morph and it did not do anything either.

I’m not sure if this is the same issue but there currently seems to be a issue with chained controller driven morphs. On Vic9 I’ve FACS and Vic9 specific correctives for them. When I use eye compression it dials in FACs such as eye blink but the Vic9 eye blink corrective doesn’t get dialed in by the eye blink.

If you use the database you may need to update when you add something in the daz library. Or don’t use the database.

@Alessandro Padovani I at least don’t use data base and it still didn’t work. It was just a quick test, I’ll dig a bit deeper to confirm a specific issue.

This seems to be an issue with the shapekeys themselves. If I pin one of the presets, the foreskin indeed moves backwards. The morph file doesn’t contain any interesting bone transforms, just some ERC morphs which don’t matter in this case. So I am lost here.

Where do I find these presets in DS? I looked in the posing tab and in 02-Pose Presets.

@Thomas Larsson You find it under Dicktator 9 → Shape Preset → Foreskin Shape. Those seem to be presets without preset controller morph. But there’s preset controllers directly on Dicktator too it seems.

note. if it may help. The G9 dicktator is a rather complex geograft, you may want to read the docs. Specifically for the foreskin there are instructions to follow. It says for morphs to work it is needed “forward” and “pinch all“ at 100% and then use the “foreskin fix“ morphs to adjust the shape. The foreskin also has a separate shell that must be turned on/off. Then you may need to adjust the rig for custom figures with the “adjust rigging“ scripts.

Personally in this case I’d avoid to import tons of morphs. You can export just the shapes you need then “join as shapes“ in blender.

    update. SOLUTION.

Works fine here. As explained in the dicktator docs, you have to set “forward“ and “pinch all“ at 100%. Not sure why “shape 01“ doesn’t set them, but setting by hand works fine.

If there’s nothing to add we may close as invalid.

    steps:

    1. In daz studio be sure to reset the dicktator morphs before exporting, there’s a “zero“ preset. This is a generic step always to be done when exporting geografts.
    2. Import G9 + dicktator in blender.
    3. Import the dicktator custom morphs.
    4. Dial in the shapes presets with “forward“ and “pinch all“ at 100%.

For custom figures you also need to fix the dicktator rig in daz studio, then import and transfer the custom morphs for the figure in blender, then adjust the foreskin shape with the “foreskin fix“ morphs. As explained in the dicktator docs.

I really appreciate the assistance! For anyone who is using something other than default settings for Genesis 9 or Dicktator, I found that on my character and the shapes I was using for Dicktator I had to not dial the pinch all morph all the way. Also, I had to dial in the tip leaning morph a little bit to get things looking aligned.
I think that should be it for this issue.
