connect close doesn't seem to work

I never used this feature before so may be I miss something. But if I check “connect close“ in the global settings it doesn’t seem to work. For example for G8F I would expect it to at least connect the hand fingers where the bone tail is overlapping the child head, but it doesn’t.

Unless this is discontinued and replaced by “connect ik chains“ in the finishing panel which works fine. In this case the option in the global settings should be removed.

note. One thing to pay attention to when connecting bones is to don’t change the pivot. So to connect the parent tail to the child head, and not the other way around.

    Only bones that are really close are connected (distance < 1 um = 10e-4 cm). But I have not used that option for ages and had forgotten about it. Removed.
