global ik/fk snapping ?

Unless I miss something, because I’m not a great user of snapping I tend to use ik only.

In rigify we have to snap ik/fk for each ik chain. Same goes for mhx and the simple rig. This is fine because snapping is intended for original animation in blender.

But things are different when we import daz poses, in this case a global snap would be handy to align the ik with the fk pose. This of course only for mhx and simple rig since rigify can’t be modified.

snap ik bones:

  • left arm
  • right arm
  • left leg
  • right leg
  • all

    note. Also a option to “auto snap ik“ when we import a daz pose would be handly.

    Of course all of this is minor just to help the workflow. Let me know if you’re not interested I’ll close as “wontfix“.

    It would be perfect. It is very time consuming for someone like me. I import many poses and snapping them 1 by 1 is very time consuming. Global snap could be awesome. Also, option when importing ‘auto snap’ would be so helpful to. Like alessandro said..

    Commit 7acec1f works fine thank you for the handy improvement.

    There’s not “auto snap ik” for import pose, but we just have to press one button now so it’s fast enough. If there’s nothing to add I’ll close as resolved.
