Bad deform on thigh bones on last commits

Issue #1544 resolved
Alejandro Huerga created an issue

I don’t know why, but from now on when I import genesis 9 using easy import, I got a bad deformation on some angles, it doesn’t matter if JCMs are present or not. I’m uploading the rigged G9 and an obj from Daz Studio to compare on a blend file. Looks like there’s an incorrect thigh bone creation during import. Characters loaded 3 commits ago, doesn't have this bug.

    daz studio 4.21.0.5, blender 3.5.1, diffeomorphic 1.7.1.1567

I can’t reproduce the issue here, please provide exact steps. I get the artifacts you describe if I don’t import jcms or baked correctives for a custom figure, but this is expected.

    steps (works fine):

    1. in daz studio export the default G9, or any male/female variant
    2. easy import in blender with jcms and baked correctives

Below an example with a random G9 custom figure.

The issue continue there and it’s on the creation of the armature. Cannot see it on simple poses. Please use the animation provided in the blend file. On next comment I’ll add the duf version

I’m using the G9 base figure. I was experimenting with other armatures created on previous commits and this doesn’t happen. So I’m pretty sure something changed 2-3 commits ago. That duf was created on DAZ 4.21 and its the one I use everytime to test leg deformations. So just easy import g9 base, and load the duf to see the issue on frame 11

Ok I can reproduce the issue now. This seems a problem with daz orientation, if you disable daz orientation in the global settings then everything works fine.

    steps:

    1. in daz studio export G9 base
    2. in blender turn off daz orientation in global settings then easy import with jcms
    3. load the test animation, it works fine

This is a workaround though, let’s wait for an answer by Thomas to see if he wants to fix the daz orientation. In general you don’t need the daz orientation unless you want to work with prebended figures. So daz orientation may be better off as default also because it doesn’t work fine in some cases.

Hello people! Yes, working fine now. Thank you so much. The addon is evolving so much this year. 😄
