make hair check strips doesn't work

The hair above is free for G8M it uses bottom up strips. If I select check strips the make hair tool complains it’s not a strip and doesn’t work. If I deselect check strips then everything works fine.

steps:

1. import the hair and separate the scalp
2. make hair with bottom up and check strips

The idea with the Check Strips option is that it should catch if you forgot to separate the scalp from the hair. The heuristics is that if the aspect ratio in uv space is less than 1:2 the (separated) mesh is probably the scalp. However, sometimes very short strands can be almost quadratic too. To eliminate the latter possibility I added condition that the mesh has at least 50 faces.
