Sebastian, thank you for the link. However, I don’t think that website is legitimate, so I removed your post.

Fixed in last commit. The problem first appeared in 3308171. Unfortunately, that was before the 1.7.0 release, so I will have to update the stable release too. Tonight.

@Thomas Larsson , before a new stable you may want to fix #1549 #1555. And also set daz orientation unchecked by default with a tooltip that it is experimental, unless #1547 is good.

I fixed the crash and the Daz Orientation option. The other issues are more extensive and will not be fixed in the version 1.7.0 branch (which I apparently have not pushed to bitbucket).

The fix to #1549 is you have to set manual orientation in the metarig for auto align to work, that is, actually auto align is broken. Then set as default optimize pose and auto align instead of improve ik. You also have to fix the improve ik tooltip telling “improve ik is not compatible with rigify poles”.

The fix to #1555 is to don’t generate the extra ik controls for forearmik shinik. Then generate shldrik thighik only for rotation and only for no poles.

Unless you really are in a hurry I wouldn’t let rigify and simple ik broken in a stable version.

Commit 0d17229 works fine as for the error message. Didn’t test instances I trust that you did and they work.

there's still some issues with the instances in 1.7.1 (master branch from yesterday).

i can send you a link in private to show the issue if you need...

Sorry, but could you specify what the problem is? I imported the file both with 1.6.2 and the current dev version and the results are identical as far as I can tell. Please note that you must use the unstable version. I didn’t get around to fix 1.7.0 because there were other issues as well, but intend to make 1.7.1 as a bugfix release soon.

here’s 2 sshots of the same duf import, look at the roof on the left side, it’s missing with 1.7.1 and ok with 1.6.2

Nope, I just deleted the daz_import folder and pit the new one in place (but I removed it before to be sure to remove all obsolete files and avoid errors on duplicates one), but I didn't deactivate/reactivate the addon. I'll give it a test and let you known. Ps: my tests are with blender 3.5.1

ok, i think i figured it out. It gives incorrect results in onlly one case ; if you use “easy import” and leave “apply transforms” checked (which is the default) .
if i use the regular import option, it”s ok; and if i uncheck “apply transforms” it’s also ok. but as far as i use easy import with the default options, the roof is missing.

Now I see the issue too. The plugin now only applies transforms for armatures and meshes, not empties, which seems to fix the issue.
