Livelink have a metahuman option and ARKIT now.

I just want inform that now when you download the livelink from iphone you have this new option:
i want to know if it’s also possible to integrate the new metahuman animator function with the plugin or we will keep the normal livelink (arkit) ( btw the new function of metahuman is just incredible)

Before there was only 1 option on Livelink, it was to use the
original capture
mode that use the iphone camera then import the FACS with the plugin.Now we have 2 option, the normal original capture mode, and the new metahuman animator mode.
I wanted to know if it’s possible to also apply the new metahuman animator model to the FACS with the plugin.

Again, it states that it captures depth and audio data. So you need the metahuman animator environment to convert it to mocap. May be you can also convert to blendshapes I don’t know, but this is UE side, not blender side. If you watch the presentation video they also explain it clearly.
It is a truly amazing technology by the way. Shame it requires a 3D scanner so iPhone 12 pro or later. Not available on Android or windows, it could be if they replace the 3D scanner with a AI solution.

As I understand it, you export from blender to UE then retarget there and import the animation directly in UE. But I’m not a UE expert.
