As I understand it, for mhx you have to use transfer IK to FK, or mute/unmute if you keep the daz rig. You can’t use the blender bake tool to bake and clear constraints, because extra work is needed to update the mhx structure, that the blender tool doesn’t.
If you look at rigify it’s the same it has its own custom tools for baking.
You can use the blender bake tool with simple ik, but once you clear contraints they’re gone so you have to save a copy of the scene first. That is, baking is intended as a last step before exporting an animation or creating an action for NLA. It is a destructive operation.
If there’s nothing to add I’ll close as invalid.

reporter ok so what is the
set constraint
function for then please ? -
repo owner I had forgotten what “Set Constraints” does, and the name is not very clear, so I changed it to “Constrain Feet”. But I don’t see how baking could undo the changed limits. If you meant the opposite, i.e. how to go back to the more relaxed limits one the strict feet limits have been imposed, the answer is that you can not.

That’s also reported in the tooltip and the mhx wiki.
