I can import anything and everything else but my skin mesh are invisible in Blender

Issue #1662 invalid
Xavier Hatten (zay) created an issue

I hope this message finds you well. I'm facing an issue with importing to Blender (version 3.4) using the Diffeomorphic add-on (version 1.7.2), and I was hoping you could assist me.

The good news is that I can successfully import objects, clothing, hair, and eyebrows for the Genesis character. However, I'm encountering an error related to root paths, even though the .Json file is in the correct folder. Unfortunately, I'm unable to load the skin for any Genesis characters from versions 3 to 9.

I've taken some pictures to show exactly what I'm experiencing, and I was wondering if you could take a look and help me figure out what might be going wrong. I'm not sure what to do next, and any guidance you could provide would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for your time and assistance!

Best regards

For mac and linux there’s “case sensitive“ in the global settings that you may want to check. If this doesn’t work please post a picture of your content folders in daz studio and be sure they’re the same in blender: edit > preferences > content > content directory manager.

I hope you're doing well. I wanted to update you on the issue I was facing with importing to Blender using the Diffeomorphic add-on. I managed to resolve the problem on my own.

Upon retracing my steps on Daz, I realized that I accidentally deleted a file that held all the Genesis dsf files. This deletion was causing my skin mesh to be deleted during the export process to Blender, even when I was importing clothing items.

To rectify this, I went into the Daz Install Manager (DIM) and reinstalled the files I had recently deleted. Even though DIM indicated that the files were installed, some crucial files were missing. I conducted my own research to locate and retrieve the missing files, placing them in a cloud folder for Daz 3D.

Unfortunately, this approach didn't work with Diffeomorphic.

After the reinstallation, the issue was fixed. It turned out not to be a root path problem, but rather something missing in the files I had mistakenly deleted while trying to save space.

Thank you for your support, and I wanted to keep you informed of the resolution.

    Best regards,
