Add Vertex Table Not Working
Was setting up a test character for something and was using Golden Palace and Breastacular (G8F) and (as always) have ‘add vertex
table’ selected when merging geografts. After merging them, I forgot to load a simple DAZ morph ('upper arm size dsf' under
My Library\data\Daz 3D\Genesis 8\Female\Morphs\DAZ 3D\Body) and got an error message ('Morphs made for genesis 8
female') which I’ve never gotten before. I don’t typically load morphs after the merging stage but I always have vertex table selected
in case I want/need to. I also know you need to know which morphs to load because it won’t work with morphs that are near/directly
affecting geograft areas. I’ve loaded this particular morph in the past before (for testing) and have had no problem. I then tried to
load ANY morph and continued to get this error. Furthermore oddly enough a few weeks ago I changed the vertex count (deleted
the Genesis 8 eyes because model came with it’s own eye meshes) and was still able to load morphs after the merging stage and
after deleting the eye meshes, with vertex table selected. I think something recently broke the vertex table feature, if someone can
confirm that would be great, thank you.
NOTE: Besides merging geografts, the meshes (vertex count) in these cases were not changed in any way.
Steps to recreate:
1: Import genesis 8 with geograft.
2: Load morphs onto geograft(main mesh too) and transfer shapekeys.
3: Merge geografts, while selecting ‘add vertex table’.
4: try loading any morph onto post-merged character.

did you set “import to modified meshes“ in global settings ?

reporter UPDATE: Good call Alessandro, upon looking at my Global Settings, “import to modified meshes” was indeed unselected. I don’t know how it got deselected, but I selected it and everything works as intended now. Sorry for the false alarm, thank you. I will close ticket as invalid now.

EDIT: I forgot to mention that I am trying to load morphs onto the mesh with ‘Import Custom Morphs’, and after getting the error message when trying to load morph(s) onto mesh, they do not appear under the Custom Morphs list at all.
