I found Lowpoly in the documentation but can't seem to find it on the add-on.

Issue #1734 invalid
Joe Morris @ FAST Animation Studio Toolz created an issue

I've been telling my end users to use the Toulouse hair because it's low poly and fast to animate with but I found if i converted a duplicate of hair to mesh and decimated it two subdivisions you get the same thing and it's quicker so you know after doing that I thought wouldn't it be cool because I'm making a big scene and building up a crowd to automatically do that to all the mesh on the character you know dependent on of course how far away from the camera it is you know would I subdivide it but I figured that you guys probably had a system already in place for that and was curious about what it might be

any help is appreciated...

never mind I found it thank you so much …if you do run across this you know I've been searching far and wide if you have like an all encompassing function that deletes any kind of keyframe shape key keyframes keyframes you set on shader nodes regular animation keyframes like on DAZ armatures or even the default cube…. if that puts you out just ignore this but seems to be no online documentation about this🙂

OK and about the low poly in using it I did notice that the kind of the big thing on the table is we can't do this to meshes with shape keys do you have a system or would I need to go ahead and design a system to you know decimate the object and copy the shape keys back I would definitely suggest that if you guys know how to do that to implement something like that you know because that would be awesome to have that functionality because you could instantly fill up your scene with characters could go the next step and make it like some of those other add-ons about materials changing their resolution based on camera distance to do something like that but to have a feature like this would be awesome for crowd creation… you guys know DAZ Studio is my idea plausible I got a genius programmer that could really figure stuff out I could send it to him if you think it might be possible

and then if you're not gonna implement this kind of functionality if you haven't already i'll just send it your way so more people can get it

At the rate you guys and me are going if we keep on every time we come across one of these things implement some sort of functionality then we could stay right with AI Innovations because I'm sure a lot of men will still like to work with their hands

The quick low-poly tool uses Blender’s decimate modifier, which like all modifiers can’t be applied to a mesh with shapekeys. That’s a Blender limitation, and that’s why the Apply Shapekeys button is right above. The faithful low-poly tool (faithful as in respects uv islands) is done entirely in python and can be used on meshes with shapekeys too.

I rarely use low-poly versions myself anymore, although I did once.

so can I apply shape keys on a mesh like on a character that I've animated with no issues

Also I notice I'm getting very little console output and a recent update like maybe within the week is that something new you implemented I do have silent mode set to true it does look nice is why I ask but there's a chunk where nothing's going on where the end user might be wondering it's late so I'm gonna test false right now and probably go to bed but if you know silent mode to false it's gonna do put out full console outputs and just ignore this

Never mind just ignore this this is what I did with redirect_stdout(stdout):
