hello, im having a problem installing the addon in blander… i know nothing about coding and id love to get your help please
ive got blender 3.6

    I see you didn’t rename the folders. Again please do a clean install as explained in the docs, or let me know if something is not clear.

    what folders should i rename? i cant find the exact folders i should rename into “Import_Daz”

    From the wiki linked above.

    The folder names for the addons should be "import_daz" and "mhx_rts". This is especially important to install other addons referencing diffeomorphic, as the alembic importer by Donald and the HD importer by Xin. Unfortunately the bitbucket distribution names the folders to something like "diffeomorphic-import_daz-<release number>" that's not good, so you need to rename the folders by hand.

    im sorry but i still havnt managed to understand which folder name should i changed/ i dowwnloaded the file from the repository file. i tried changing the whole folder name from “Diffeomorphic-import_daz-cc83b202754e.zip” into “import_daz” but still i cant install the addon. what am i doing wrong?

    steps:

    1. in blender disable the addons then quit blender
    2. delete any previous versions in the blender “addons” folder
    3. extract the zip
    4. rename the extracted folders to “import_daz“ “mhx_rts“
    5. copy to the blender addons folder
    6. run blender and enable the addons

    Apart renaming the folders, these are common steps you have to do to update any addon in blender. If the above procedure doesn’t work for you then I have no idea what may be wrong with your installation. Works fine for everyone else.

    when i extract the zip file, i get two folders. one inside the other called “Diffeomorphic-import_daz-fd503c33b370”

    inside the second one - lays all the files,
    what of the folders i should name into “import_daz“ and which one should i name “mhx_rts“ ?
