Optimize Pose For IK moves feet?
Blender 3.6.2 Diffeomorphic v1.7.2.1825
First off thank you Thomas and Alessandro for explaining that body morphs should not be imported at all with an IK rig made for
hand animation. Unselecting the body morph option fixed my previous issue with the drivers completely. However I realized
something else (I’m not labelling this a bug because I’m not sure if this is inteaded, and given my recent history of isolated issues
we’ll see if it is):
When body morphs are NOT selected AND ‘optimize pose for IK’ is selected when creating the metarig, the feet of the character
slide inwards (almost like T-pose instead of A-pose). I’ve never experienced this because I was always
importing with body morphs selected, and the feet never moved for me when this was done. Is this normal behavior?
Steps to recreate:
1: Import G8 WITHOUT body morphs selected.
2: Select armature and generate rigify metarig with ‘optimize pose for IK’ selected.
3: Feet slide inwards.
^before creating metarig with ‘optimize pose for IK’
^after creating metarig with ‘optimize pose for IK’

Yes this is normal behavior, the ik pose is requested for rigify to work fine. But you can convert to rigify without ik pose if the figure is prebended for example. As for the straight feet you can avoid them deselecting “auto align“.
