Shoulder not a 1.7.2 untill commit 5a272af be released ?

Hi,

Before starting to update to blender 4, should not the last commit untill “ 5a272af" be released as a stable version for people who want to stay at 3.6 LTS ?

Just was wondering, because a lot are afraid of the jump to 4+ right now.

You may have a point, but it is too late now. Transfer to Blender 4 has already begun. Fortunately the 1.7.1 release remains pretty good, unlike 1.7.0 that had a few serious bugs in it.
