MHX Custom Bones
When I bind the bones to MHX, the custom bones (as hair and earrings) are not visible. In editing mode, they need to be boxed to be displayed. After switching to pose mode, they become completely invisible

blender 4.0.2, diffeomorphic 1.7.3.1973, mhx 1.7.3.0105
bug. invisible bones. I can confirm the issue, this only happens for blender 4, while blender 3 works fine. Seems related to bone colors, if we disable bone colors then everything works fine.
steps:
- import G8F with the bardot outfit
- convert to mhx
- enable all layers and switch to pose or edit mode, some bones are not visible, including the extra bones in the bardot skirt
workaround: turn off bone colors

repo owner Apparently bone become invisible if they use a custom palette and don’t have custom shapes, so in the last commit bones without custom shapes use the default palette.

reporter thank you Thomas,Mr.Padovani’s solution has solved this problem, please close it

@Thomas, that doesn’t seem the case, here in blender 4 I can assign bone colors in edit mode, that wasn’t possible in blender 3. I understand this is the new way to do it, unless I miss something. Let us know.

repo owner The predefined themes work without custom shapes, but custom color sets don’t. You can see that by removing the custom shape from one of the standard mhx bones.
-
What about using the predefined then, do you really need custom sets ?
-
repo owner It would work for deselected bones, but the predefined themes have different colors for active and selected bones.
