A question on my mind(It is not a problem, it is a question!)

Currently the Plugin works great for Blender 4.0 and Eevee. However, to improve the quality of the Scene and Characters, I need to make a lot of changes to the material setup that the plugin imports. And these changes can take weeks (especially for character)
I tried some Eevee Next a few days ago and got an amazing quality (especially in the character material). So I definitely want to use Eevee Next.

My question is: Is it ok if I prepare my scenes and characters for 4.0 normal Eevee to minimize time wasting and when "Eevee Next" comes, I can use the existing setup?

Logically there shouldn't be a problem, but here's what I'm afraid of;
that the owner of the plugin could make a completely different material setup for "Eevee Next".

If it happens, my weeks of installation will be wasted and I will have to redo it.

That's why I'm curious;
Will the default material setup for 4.0 be the same for "4.1 Eevee Next" (for both scenes and characters)?

I would like to get the Add-On owners' opinion on this.

    I don’t think you have to worry about the plugin. Once the scene is imported into Blender and the material editing is complete, the plugin doesn’t touch the materials anymore. Importing the scene again in a later version of Blender might give a different result, but the materials in the saved blend file don’t change. So even if we change the material setup for Eevee next, it doesn’t affect the materials in your old files.

    What can be a problem is if Blender itself breaks old materials. E.g., version 2 principled in Blender 4.0 is incompatible with the original principled shader in Blender 3.x.

    This is exactly what I want to ask;
    The default material setup when we import an object from Daz Studio to Blender: "Blender 4.0 Eevee" and "Blender 4.1 Eevee Next" will be the same?
    If it will be the same, I can already prepare my scenes and characters using 4.0. That way, when the "4.1 Eevee Next" version is released, I can directly switch to it.

    Let me ask the question from another angle: Will the current default material setup of your plugin change for "4.1 Eevee Next"?

    Probably not, since both 4.0 and 4.1 work with principled 2 that we already handle. But, since 4.1 is in alpha we can’t be 100% sure because the blender team could change things.
