Shapekey Categories not recognized
When I try to rename shapekey categories or remove them, they’re not listed. I’ve multiple custom categories but when I go to the “rename categories” tab for example, all I see is just “categories” under “category”. Categories also keep existing, when there’s not a single morph listed. Tested in Blender 4.0.2 with G9.

repo owner Both renaming and removing categories work fine here, both with G8F and G9. Although I’m still on 4.0.0.

repo owner I downloaded 4.0.2 and its the same. Rename, remove and join categories work as expected.

reporter I had a guess why and the rig needs to be selected to work. I assumed since the morphs in the daz importer UI work without selecting the rig, it’s the same for the categories. Can you make it independent from selection?

When you import custom morphs, you can disable rig drivers and enable mesh categories instead. This gives you the UI with categories directly fo the shapekeys if you select the corresponding mesh. Or should give. This was something that old-time user Engetudouiti suggested a long time ago and the code has deteriorated since then.
Is there a problem to select the rig to get the morph categories? It would be difficult to make the code work both for rig drivers and mesh categories at the same time.

reporter Now that I know it, it’s not a issue but it may be a bit unintuitive for new users.
