Shaft Winders not created for Dicktator/Futalicious when used with clothing that matches their armature.
I’ve been noticing this for a while now but I didn’t know if it was intentional or not but. when using a graft like Dicktator and Futalicious with other outfits like Lady Dick, Condoms, or other objects with clothing that match the graft’s armature when converting to MHX and selecting winders, the winders aren’t generated. I’m not sure how much of an issue it is for people who don’t use Winders but it would be nice to figure out what’s going on and if there’s a fix for it.

reporter is that all it is? crazy question but could i just rename all the bones to shaft + digits so the winder function activates again? really i just need a way to make it and i’m a bit worried if i change the name and location of my daz importer its going to break something or the other.

repo owner You could try that, but it is better if the plugin handles that. In the last commit you can choose the pattern for shaft bone names. They still have to start with the same string, and the rest of the string must be digits, but the string is not limited to “shaft”.

reporter Well i was able to getting working, thankfully rather than having to go through the effort of changing the bone names, changing the folder name of the plug-in in the %APPDATA% folder of blender’s scripts to the proper import_daz name seemed to do the trick without messing up my import settings so far. it was a little fiddly with getting it to work but it does work now at least thanks.

The folders need to be renamed, this is reported in the installation docs.

Shaft bones have to be called “Shaft” + digits. Relying on bone names is admittedly prone to break, but it worked for Dicktator which is what I needed myself. There is a general tool to add winders to any chain, but it has now be moved to the rig_daz plugin because the daz importer is too unwieldy already.
