Newer Alpha builds of Diff are trying to load as Extension and failing.

Issue #2170 resolved
CookItOff created an issue

I can’t test any of the new diff builds as the addon imports will fail with a warning. I’m manually trying to install from disk from the addon tab like normal since 4.2 extensions went live.

Thanks.

Adapting the plugins to Blender extensions is work in progress. Your error message should be gone in the latest version ad204d1, at least if you only import the DAZ Importer. The standalone plugins (import_daz, mhx_rts and retarget_bvh) are successfully imported as extensions (and as add-ons in earlier versions of Blender). The plugins that depend on import_daz can not be enabled because again the import_daz module isn’t found. And scripting doesn’t work either, for the same reason.

Extensions end up in the “4.2/extensions/user_default” directory. Everything points to the conclusion that Blender creates this directory but doesn’t add it to the python paths.
