I know that I have run across similar issues, but not recently, and I don’t remember how it was fixed. Here are some things that you can check:

    1. Which version of the plugin are you using? Version 1.5.0 or the development version should work, but it may be an issue with 1.4.2.
    2. Are you render settings sufficient? By default, the importer updates the render settings to the minimal requirements when Daz characters are imported, but if you append a character to a new scene this may be a problem. The Setup > Materials > Update Render Settings button fixes this.
    3. Are the settings sufficient for all lights in the scene? The same button fixes the lights too.

If none of this works, I have run out of ideas. Could you upload the duf file so I can test it?

    1. I’m using 1.5.0
    2. I tried it didn’t fix the issue

I'm also having another weird issue if I import a character and the character is at the origin the eyes are fine

But If I move the character away from origin the hair and eyes start to look weird with black sclera

Moving character away from the origin

To check it, your material setting may show more (BSDF or use principled, and which map you activate when import)

eg I suppose there is case, displacement map mix use normal bump may cause issue with setting.

even though you only install bump or normal,, there is case you need to adjust it I suppose.

So if shader cause issue we need to check your actual shader nodes of the surface.

Usually I do not import (remove) displacement for eye around surface, then if it is used in iray, I may check the nodes.

Those material problem (if it is caused by material), Others need many infomations. or can not detect problem easy.

eg you appy material in daz studio which not compatible for daz importer (special vendor offered shader preset, may not work with importer)

so you may need to discribe, which product you used , and it only use daz iray shader or not. etc.

I can’t reproduce the issue here. Do you get that with the standard G8F or it’s only one specific figure ?

In general I can advice you to use full global illumination with cycles to check if there’s a flaw in you render settings, then you can simplify down from that. Also you can try to export the HD version that gets a better shape baking, that may be useful with some figures.

edit. Also iray has a geometry precision issue with figures far away from the scene center, that leads to the black sclera issue. So in that case the HD exporter will bake the shape and may carry the issue to blender. Not sure about that though.
