Pose to Hair only

Hello! First of All - Thanks for this addon.

I can`t add poses to hair only. I do something wrong or it is limitation? I export only hair to blender and try to apply pose or pose library to hairs. But no changes.

    Is the hair a rigged mesh? Then posing should work, provided that the pose file was made for that type of armature.

    The hair poses don’t work because you need to import the morphs first. To get them into Blender:

    1. Select hair mesh and import custom morphs
    2. Select the files you want to import.
    3. Select the rig and pose the hair with the sliders in the Custom Morphs panel.

    It turned out that the panel didn’t show up unless the entire character was loaded. I have to figure out why that happens.

    Now you should be able to access the custom morphs panel even if you only import the hair and not the full character.

    Thanks for the help. How can I donate to yo? I am not rich, but I am ready to translate as much as I can, because this plugin allowed me to quickly do the work that I am proud of and I am not ashamed to post it on artstation https://www.artstation.com/artwork/Gal9K4 .Without this plugin, it would be very long and would distract from the artistic process. I think I copy this steps and you can delete this post. I don`t know another method to ask questions about this addon.

    I have question related this issue. (import morphs for hair or attached mesh (and rig))

    about the OP case it seems all morphs are shape key morphs, then it may work, but can I import pose controller type morph for hair too?

    eg I have some pony tail hair, which have custom bones. then if the hair have some pose controller morph (which only pose these ponitail bones ), can this add on import those ponytail pose controller as morph?

    if it work, Do I need to import those morphs after merged rig? and it may add new drv-bones for hair pony tail bones. then if I make all bones posable, these pony tails drv bones will be controlled by imported pose controller, and can move manually too? (generate child pose bone as same as facial)?

    Actually I avoid to test them, but hope Thomas confirm, it work or not.

    OK no problem,, amazing, (I did not expect,much), it worked without problem.

    After merge rig, (already import many morphs for characters and transfer morphs) I just select hair mesh, and import those pose controller morphs, (with shape key morphs) as custom morphs, and make all bones posable.

    After all, hair pose controller morphs could import (some morphs was mix type too). and it work. (not test each rotation etc though), and after “make all bones posable” the hair pony tail can still pose as same as before (actually add on generate drv bone + pose bone) for hair pony tails.

    I suppose this issue is solved, but I really hope I thanks OP ask this and Thomas implemented how hair morphs will work.

    Because with this commit, now I can perfectly manage hair (with hair rig) and character rig separatelly.

    I often self merge rigs before, when I exchange hair for same character, sometimes it tedious work, to add new bones, and remove unnecessary old morphs. but now each hair rig can keep morphs with self rig property.

    So I only need to set constrain (rig and head bone), when exchange hair. then can keep hair rig and base character rig separatelly.

    (can manage morphs (props and driver) for character and hair individually)

    it make me really easy to manage many hairs, (though it need to import to blender by add on once which fit for current character shape) , but I can import many hair morphs, with hair rig, and now can exchange hair really easy.

    It may effect any weapon or attachment items, when user hope to exchange them without merge rigs. and keep morph data (props and slider) separatelly. it really enhance my workflow.. to manage many items for same character.

    Unfortunatelly it not work when I import pose controller type morphs. (like bend hair bones) for hair rig and mesh without merge character rig. (so hair mesh only have armature modifier for hair rig). OP issue seems solved then I add new request. 566.

    hope Thomas solve it too if it work well, it enhance much (exchange hair as I need ,, with keep hair morphs without change character rig at all) and make things simple for me..
