Resize hair only allows hair length as low as 3

Is it possible to remove the lower limit on the “Resize Hair” option under “Make Hair”

I have found I need to produce a really fine strand baby hair for something I am rendering and the hair is still coming out too big when converted despite the actual original hair mesh strands being tiny. I think this is due to the lower limit being hard set to 3.

Could we be able to enter an arbitrary length much lower than 1, I think I would need as low as 0.01 but the lower the better I think within practical levels.

Apparently not. Hair length = 3 gives two segments, which appears to be the lower limit for Blender’s particle systems.
