When hands and feet are moved along Y in MHX rig, why does it add X values too?

So when I move hands and feet strictly along the Y axis, the X location is also changed. Can someone explain as to why this happens?

You move the bone along the global Y axis, but the transform window shows the location in the local coordinate system. There is no local Z translation because the local and global Z axes happen to be the same for the IK foot (apart from a sign).
