When converting armature to Rigify, armature modifiers get disabled from clothing, so vertex groups do not get renamed

Issue #787 resolved

Title. I’m pretty sure the modifiers do not get deleted with MHX, but with Rigify. What seems to be the issue?

What probably happened is that the clothes are not parented to the main figure in DS. The addon renamed vertex groups for all the rig's children, but not for unparented meshes with an armature modifier. That behaviour has now been changed, so also unparented meshes keep their armature modifiers and vertex groups.

There are probably other places where unparented meshes with armature modifiers should be included. Will check that later.

Yeah the clothing objects are not parented to the armature rig, but in my scene they really don’t need to, unless if Rigify requires it. But if I understood correctly, you’ve changed that, so I have an old version of the addon? (I installed 1.6.0 almost a month ago). The MHX rig seems to work fine on regard with the vertex groups, but there’s a bit of an issue where for some reason some vertices of clothing supposedly don’t move with the rig, even though that clothing object works just fine when the armature is moved without a rig.

Yes, I just changed the behavior in the develoment version, but before this morning meshes had to be parented to the rig to be considered.

If some vertices move and some don’t, it is probably a bone or vertex group that is missing. We had problems with bones disappearing because the mhx conversion put the head and tail in the same location, but I thought we fixed that long ago. Perhaps not in 1.6.0 though.
