math domain error importing environment

Issue #793 resolved
Aaron J. Olson created an issue

Hello, I am trying to import a premade scene https://www.daz3d.com/rog-medieval-fantasy-bedroom via diffeo import daz addon.
When I do the import, it comes through like this

Which is not complete. I then check the console and see this error

I have tried this in Blender 2.93 and Blender 3.0, on diffeo/import_daz versions 1.6.1.0690 and 1.6.1.0738 (two different machines) and get this exact same behavior in all cases.

Any ideas for a solution?

Thank you!

To add more test cases, I have ran into another case like this. The environment https://www.daz3d.com/winterblack-halls

I load up the winterblack halls dbl preload scene. Do the usual dbz export. When I perform the import on the Blender side it is coming through like this,

with the same math domain error in the console.

I don’t understand how the math domain can be wrong, since the argument is the dot product of two normalized vectors. But anyway, I added another test that explicitly deals with the < -1 case.
