DAZ Importer Version 1.6
Hi Thomas Larsson,
I keep getting Errors when I try to import Morphs : Import Units, Import Expressions, Import Visemes etc… on a Daz 3D Genesis 1 figure. I am using Blender 3.0 with Daz Importer Version 1.6. Moprhs are not loading, only a few are.
I am using Daz Studio 4.14. I also downloaded Daz Studio 4.16 , still having the same errors.
When I revert back to Daz Importer 1.5 everything works correctly with Blender 3.0
kind regards
Trevor

reporter Hi Thomas Larsson,
Thanks! I will try the development version. If I get the same errors I will report back.

reporter I tried the latest development version, and got no Error messages.
The Import Units, Expressions, Visemes are not loading properly. The Import Body Morphs loaded correctly.

repo owner Oh, you are using the original Genesis figure. I hadn’t checked that in a long time. For some reason the morphs are hidden, so in order to generate them the global settings Make Hidden Morphs must be enabled when you load the morphs. Don’t know why they are hidden.

For clarity, Thomas means they are hidden in daz studio so the plugin hides them in blender too. If you use G1F G1M instead they should work fine.

reporter Yes! That’s working perfectly now. I use Genesis 1 for M4 and V4 .
The only issue I have in Daz Studio, is trying to get shoes to fit from V4 to Genesis 1.
I’ve seen methods for it to work, seems like a lot of hassle, when Autofit should do it. I have no problems fitting M4 shoes. Thanks again for the help, and (Alessandro Padovani) You made an Excellent plugin.

A question, will 1.6.1 support Blender 3.0?
-
repo owner Yes, I’m currently using Blender 3.0 and it seems to work well.

reporter I’m having another problem when importing a Pose, when import units, Expressions, Visemes, Body Moprhs etc……are already loaded. When I delete those Morphs then import the Pose again. The Pose is correctly positioned.
In version 1.5 there was an ‘update rig to version 1.5’ button when the pose didn’t look right, and that fixed the problem.
I tried disable drivers, in version 1.6, but that didn’t work. Is there something I need to do, so the Pose looks correct on import, when Morphs are loaded.
1st Picture with Morphs Loaded.
2nd Picture Morphs deleted.

repo owner Most bones are driven by body morphs if you have imported those, and cannot be posed freely. If you want to load a pose to an armature with body morphs, you must first Setup > Finishing > Make All Bones Poseable.
-
reporter Ah! Thanks….That worked!

I think this bug has been fixed in the development version, so I suggest that you try that. Version 1.6.0 has other issue with Blender 3.0 as well. The development version is quite stable and will soon become 1.6.1.
