new Error while trying to import a file

this error just started popping from nowhere

i can’t import any new model to blender, never had this problem before.

This error means that the dsf file is corrupt and cannot be read by Blender. At least it is corrupt from Blender’s point of view. A dsf file is a json file (optionally gzipped), and the plugin uses python’s built-in json module to read it. It is possible that daz’s json reader doesn’t adhere to the json standard but allows a more general syntax, like an extra comma in places. I haven’t acquired any new assets recently, but if it happens for all new models it is bad, because the python module is not going to change. Do you have an example of an offending asset?

after deleting this file, import went successfully , i might close this issue if all ok.

The file can be read with the latest commit. I think I have seen this kind of json error before, but very rarely. I hope I didn’t introduce problems with legal json files, but the ones I tested are loaded without problems.
